Lisheen Castle is a beautiful eighteenth century building, boasting an interesting history. Originally a three storey Irish Palladian country house, Lisheen Castle was lovingly restored by the Everard family in 1996. Having been burnt to the ground in 1921, and completely disused for eighty years, the castle today is a flood lit masterpiece which one can rent for special occasions or for holidays. There are seven luxury en-suite bedrooms (the Master suite has a wonderful four-poster bed), with lovely views of the Tipperary countryside. There is also interior access to the roof top, from where one can enjoy the panoramic views over the Devils Bit mountain, the Silvermines and the Galtee Mountains.
