The terms and conditions below will apply to your purchase and booking of the Thailand promotional package. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. You must be35years of age or older to make a booking. It is important you understand and agree with the following terms and conditions. You should not proceed with any purchase or booking unless you do. We will rely on the authority of the person making the booking to act on behalf of any other traveller on the booking and that person will bind all such travellers to these term sand conditions. The person making the booking has ultimate authority over the booking, including reservation amendments and cancellations.

 

Agency

 

We act as an agent only. We offer a wide range of travel services (which may include but are not limited to accommodation, rail, and cruise liner services) on behalf of others who provide those services. Our duties to you are limited to arranging a reservation on your behalf with the participating resort(s) located in Portugal. If the resort fails to provide you with a service, or you are not satisfied with the standard of any service provided by the resort, you agree that your only rights are directly against the resort and not against us. You agree that we are not liable to you for any losses that you suffer in those circumstances, and that you will not claim against us (directly or indirectly) any refund, credit, or other compensation. You agree that any money that you have paid to us will not be held on trust for you but will be used by us to make payment to the resort to secure the booking for your accommodation requirements.

 

Portugal Promotional Package Rules

 

This promotional package is offered on the condition each redeeming party whilst on vacation participates in an informal presentation on the many benefits of Global Vacation Club. This is NOT a Timeshare offer, nor do GVC sell or promote any Timeshare products. The following criteria MUST be adhered to under the terms of this offer. Married/Co-habituating and aged between 35 and 65 years of age. Joint Annual income of at least £45,000 per annum. Both parties MUST attend the presentation which lasts approximately 90 minutes. A valid credit/debit card MUST be shown along with matching identification. Neither party is employed within the tourism industry and MUST not have attended a GVC presentation within the last 12months.Single guests MUST be between the ages of 35 and 65 years of age with an annual income of at least £30,000 per annum or more. Single guests MUST attend with a friend unless otherwise stated. Guests are under no obligation to buy, join or rent any GVC product now or in the future.

 

Limitation of Liability

 

We do not accept any liability, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, for any act or omission of the participating resort(s) including their failure to provide a service whether through their negligence or otherwise. We do not make any representation about the standard of the services to be provided by the participating resort(s), and we accept no liability in that regard. We do not accept any liability, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, for any injury, losses, expenses, delays, or inconvenience suffered by you in connection with your booking / reservation, unless our liability is prescribed by legislation which cannot be excluded. Where our liability cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to the amount that you have paid for the Portugal promotional package.

Prices

 

The Portugal promotional package price does not include any costs incurred en-route to and from the destination, meals and/or alcoholic beverages (unless specified), telephone calls, items of a personal nature, and personal services not specified as being included in costs on the relevant GVC Portugal promotional package web pages.

 

Deposits, Reservations and Final Payments

 

You will be required to pay a deposit when booking, amounting to £99.00. All deposits are non-refundable (including where you or we cancel the reservation for any reason) unless the reservation is cancelled due to some negligence or breach of duty by us. The Final Payment means the amount in GREAT BRITAIN POUNDS, you are required to pay when you have confirmed your reservation dates with GVC reservations and have been invoiced by GVC.

 

Payments by Bank Transfer

 

Please note that a bank transfer can take up to 3 business days to process. If you are paying by this method, you will need to make the payment at least 3 business days prior to the actual due date. You must notify GVC Reservations of your proof of payment by email once it has been made.

 

Payment by Credit Card

 

If you have paid any amount to us by credit card, you agree that you will not lodge any dispute with your credit card issuer about the validity of the transaction or the provision of goods or services by us, where the participating resort(s) fails to provide a service to you for any reason. You agree that your remedy lies against the resort and not against us, and that by lodging a dispute with your credit card issuer you will be seeking a remedy against us in breach of these terms and conditions.

 

Payment by Cheque, Money Order or Cash

 

If you pay by cheque (including bank cheque), money order, Electronic Funds Transfer or cash, bookings can only be confirmed upon receipt of cleared funds. If you are paying by these methods, you will need to make payment at least 5 business days prior to the actual date due for payment unless otherwise stated. You agree not to stop payment even when you cancel a booking. You agree that we may apply the proceeds of the payment to satisfy any liability you have with us, including any liability in respect of cancellation fees, before refunding the balance to you.

Booking Credit Note

 

Any booking may be converted to a booking credit note. Booking credit notes may attract applicable supplier fees but will not incur amendment or cancellation fees by us. Each credit note will be valid for 12 months from the date your booking is placed into credit. A booking credit note can be used for one future travel booking, where the entire balance of a credit note is not used any balance will be held in accordance with these terms and conditions. Once a new booking is made using a credit note, standard terms and conditions apply. Booking credit notes are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or gift vouchers.

 

Amendment Policy

 

Please note subject to our Peace of Mind Policy, booking amendments will incur a fee of £69.00 Date changes are subject to availability. Please note subject to our Peace of Mind Policy, cancelled bookings will incur charges. Our participating resort providers are entitled to impose cancellation charges, which can be up to 100% of the amount paid to them for there levant service, regardless of whether travel has commenced.

 

Non-payment Fees

 

Should you default in making any payment in accordance with the agreed trading terms all monies owing to us will immediately become due and payable. We will be entitled to charge interest at the rate of 3% above the 90-day bank bill rate as set by CIMB Bank of Malaysia per calendar month on all overdue amounts from the date due for payment until the date of actual payment. We reserve the right to recover from you any expense and/or costs or disbursements incurred by us in recovering any outstanding monies including debt collection agency fees and legal costs.

 

Taxes

 

Departure tax is included in the price of the ticket for all passengers over 12 years leaving the country via air travel. This may be subject to change without notice. We fully recommendyoucheck with your carrier prior to travelling.

 

Reservations

 

Reservations (even after payment of your deposit and final payment) are subject to us receiving confirmation from the participating resort(s). In the rare instance where a reservation request cannot be confirmed at your selected property in Portugal, you will be offered the choice of alternative arrangements (which may be with an alternative resort of similar or higher standard).

 

Travel Insurance

 

We strongly recommend that you obtain travel insurance. We also strongly recommend that all travellers obtain travel insurance prior to travel. If you do not obtain travel insurance either through a travel insurance provider, you acknowledge that you may be required to sign a disclaimer.

Travel Documentation

 

The Travel Document is used to confirm an accommodation arrangement with the participating resort(s). The travel document is non-transferable. Any charges associated with re-issue and re-sending of a travel document will incur a charge of £50.00. An incorrect name on a confirmed reservation may result in an inability to use that travel document and the reservation being cancelled. Any errors in names, dates and timings on your documentation will be your responsibility. Please advise us immediately of any errors.

 

Passports and Visas

 

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have valid passports which meet the requirements of immigration of Portugal government authorities. Passports are required by all passengers travelling to Portugal and are the responsibility of the passenger. For visits NOT exceeding 30 days – Passports must be valid upon entry to Portugal and valid for the period of your stay. Your passport must contain a minimum of two (2) blank pages or more upon entry. Effective June 2022, Portugal removed all Covid testing and vaccination requirements for entry. Travellers may still be required to fill out a health screening form for arrival. Vaccinations Health requirements are the responsibility of all individual travellers. ** Should any mandatory quarantine or testing be required this will be at your own expense and for you to arrange.**Please be advised that any costs for the above requirements will be at your own expense. Our reservations staff are not qualified to advise you on vaccinations. Please contact your own doctor or a specialist vaccination clinic.

Please advise your reservation consultant of any GVC membership details for inclusion in your booking and savings to be made (ONLY GVC MEMBERS WILL RECEIVE FURTHER DISCOUNTS).
