IF YOU HAVE OBJECTIONS TO THE PRIVACY POLICY, YOU SHOULD NOT USE THIS SITE. THIS PRIVACY POLICY IS APPLICABLE TO ANY PERSON(S) THAT CHOOSE TO VIEW THE CONTENTS OF THE WEBSITE. This section of the Privacy Policy describes our practices related to the use, storage and disclosure of information we collect from or about you in the course of providing services through our Club The privacy policy link within the Club will point your device to our most current policy, so please check regularly for the most recent version of our Privacy Policy. After download, the App solicits information from you.  To use the App, you must sign in to your GVC account using your GVC Login ID and password. You will be asked by the app whether you want to use your current location. You may elect not to allow your current location to be used. We collect and use information about you and your device through this App, as well as other information obtained from our Site, to maintain and provide you with services, to respond to your questions and instructions, to maintain the integrity of our network and address security issues, to investigate or take action regarding violations of suspected violations of law or our terms and conditions, and to improve our services. You may opt-out of information collection by uninstalling the App.  You may use the standard uninstall application and data management process available as part of your mobile device or via the removal features provided in your chosen mobile app store or network. Once the App is uninstalled, information provided which is related to your GVC account (including but not limited to, purchase of bonus holidays, guest certificates, designating favorites or making an exchange request) will be stored in our server so that we may provide you with your requested services. Except as stated in this section entitled Our Mobile Application, the terms of the GVC Privacy Policy below are applicable to the App.

Changes in Privacy Policy

All "personal information" ("personal information" is defined as any information that identifies or can be used to identify, contact, or locate the person to whom such information pertains) that we collect and maintain will be subject to the version of the Privacy Policy in effect at the time of such collection. GVC reserves the right to change the Privacy Policy from time to time at its sole discretion, and will provide notice of material changes on the home page of the Site.  When we post changes to this Privacy Policy, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy. If as the result of such changes, you want to alter the ways in which GVC is allowed to use your personal information, you can do so by following the procedure described below in the section titled "Updating your personal information and privacy preferences." You will be deemed to have been made aware of, and will be subject to, the changes to the Privacy Policy by your continued use of the Site after such notice has been posted for thirty (30) days with the following exception: If at the time you provide personal information to GVC you are given the opportunity (as you currently are) to limit how such information will be used to communicate with you, either by GVC or by third parties, GVC will not change your preference in this regard without your express consent.

In such instances, unless expressly provided to the contrary, the collection and use of your personal information will be governed by the privacy policy applicable to that site. Collection of information

As a visitor to this Site, you can engage in many activities without providing any personal information. In connection with other activities, such as registering on the site, performing an exchange or purchasing any other Global Products, we may ask you to provide certain information about yourself, such as your first and last name, mailing address (including zip code), member number, e-mail address, telephone and facsimile numbers and if you transact business with GVC, financial information such as your payment method (valid credit card number, type, expiration date or other financial information). Depending upon the activity, some of the information that we ask you to provide is identified as mandatory and some as voluntary. If you do not provide the mandatory data with respect to a particular activity, you will not be able to engage in that activity. GVC may also collect and store personal information about other people that you provide to us.  For example, if you use the Site to make cruise or other travel reservations through our system, we may store your personal information and the personal information of each such travel companion. When you submit personal information to GVC through this Site, you understand and agree that this information may be transferred across national boundaries and may be stored and processed in any of the countries in which GVC and its affiliates and subsidiaries maintain offices, including, without limitation Thailand. You also acknowledge that in certain countries or with respect to certain activities, the collection, transfer, storage, and processing of your information may be undertaken by third-party vendors of Interval. Such vendors are bound by contract not to use your personal information for their own purposes or provide it to any third parties.

GVC has established relationships with various third parties whose services are available to you from this Site or from Web sites that are linked to this Site. Typically, these providers offer services that GVC customers might find useful, such as those that can be used in conjunction with GVC services and products. In order to use those services, you may be required to provide personal information to the providers. Unless expressly provided to the contrary, personal information that you provide while you are visiting a provider's Web site will be subject to the privacy policy posted on such site, and personal information that you provide while on this Site in conjunction with a provider's service will be subject to this Privacy Policy. You should be aware that our agreements with these service providers often provide that they will share with GVC personal information collected from you. We may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. GVC may collect information about the use of the site, such as the types of services used and how many users we receive daily. We may use all or part of any information that you provide on this Site to personalize your experience the next time you visit us. There are other instances in which GVC may divulge your personal information.  Upon request of a resort, we may provide certain information from our membership records to your home resort(s). Such information may include but not be limited to, your first and last name, mailing address, telephone number and email address. If GVC  sells assets (or the assets of a division or subsidiary) to another entity, or GVC (or a division or subsidiary) is acquired by, or merged with, another entity, GVC may provide to such entity customer information that is related to that part of our business that was sold to or merged with the other entity without your consent.  GVC may provide your personal information if necessary, in GVC's good faith judgment, to comply with laws or regulations of a governmental or regulatory body or in response to a valid subpoena, warrant, or order or to protect the rights of GVC or others. Aggregated and non-personal information. We may share aggregated and non-personal information we collect under any of the above circumstances.  We may also share it with service providers to develop and deliver targeted advertising on our Site. We may combine non-personal information we collect with additional non-personal information collected from other sources. We also may share aggregated information with third parties, including advisors, advertisers and investors, for the purpose of conducting general business analysis. For example, we may tell our advertisers the number of visitors to our Site and the most popular features or services accessed.  This information does not contain any personal information and may be used to develop Site content and services that we hope you and other users will find of interest and to target content and advertising.

 

Protection of your personal information

 

The personal information that you provide in connection with registering yourself as a user of GVC products or services or registering a GVC product is classified as Profile Information. Profile Information is protected in several ways. Access by you to your Profile Information is available through a password and unique customer ID either selected by you or chosen for you automatically. Your password and profile information are encrypted while in transit. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone. In addition, your Profile Information resides on a secure server that only selected GVC personnel and contractors have access to via password. Personal information that you provide that does not constitute Profile Information also resides on a secure server and is only accessible to selected GVC personnel and contractors via password. In addition to placing your information in secure servers, GVC utilizes security architecture and technologies, such as multi-layer firewalls, and network-based intrusion detection monitors to protect all sensitive information.

Updating your personal information and privacy preferences

You have the right to access and correct your personal information at any time. This may be accomplished by writing to GVC or email please include your name, address, and member number.  You may also visit the “My Account” section of the Site. GVC also provides you with the opportunity to specifically choose the promotional marketing e-mail communications you wish to receive from us in any commercial e-mail that we send to you, you will be given an opportunity to opt out of receiving such messages in the future. It may take up to 10 days for us to process an opt-out request. GVC may send you other types of transnational and relationship e-mail communications, such as exchange or Global Grab confirmations, administrative notices, and surveys, without offering you the opportunity to opt out of receiving them. Please note that opting out of receipt of promotional email communications will only affect future activities or communications from GVC.

Privacy-related inquiries and complaints

GVC takes its users' privacy concerns seriously. If you believe that GVC has not complied with this Privacy Policy with respect to your personal information or you have other related inquiries or concerns, you may write to the GVC Chief Information Security Officer at the address indicated previously. In your letter, please describe in as much detail as possible the nature of your inquiry or the ways in which you believe that the GVC Online Privacy Policy has not been complied with. We will investigate your inquiry or complaint promptly. If you do not receive acknowledgment of your inquiry or complaint or your inquiry or complaint is not satisfactorily addressed, Please note that if you provide GVC with inconsistent privacy preferences (for example, by indicating on one occasion that third parties may contact you with marketing offers and indicating on another occasion that they may not), GVC cannot guarantee that your most recent privacy preference will be honoured.
